Ashlyn joined ClarionDoor in March of this year as a software developer. She currently works on ClarionDoor’s Comparative Rating Solution which enables MGAs and Carriers to expand their distribution channels for a unique enter-once, quote everywhere experience. We recently met up with Ashlyn for a little fun Q&A…

Before working at ClarionDoor, what was the most unusual job you ever had?

As a teen I worked for a party rental company that rented out Rock Climbing walls to festivals, carnivals and other events. My job was basically to climb up and retrieve climbers that were too scared to descend once they reached the top. The people I most often had to go get were adults, so as a teen, I always found that entertaining.

What is your favorite activity to do when not at work?

I love camping! I try to camp every weekend in the summer and I like to camp in more remote areas, where there are no other people around, just me and my family. I also love live music shows and festivals and go whenever the opportunity arises.

What was the first and last concert you went to?

First concert – Red Hot Chili Peppers in Hollywood, CA

Last concert – The Moon is Flat at the Blue Moon in Seattle, WA

What is your favorite quote?

What is your favorite vacation spot?

Anywhere where I can camp on a sunny beach or by a beautiful waterfall.

What do you like most about ClarionDoor?

The company culture for sure. I have never worked for a company that so consistently treats employees like humans, instead of dollar signs. Everyone I have had the opportunity to work with here has been amazing.
